| Step 1: Take a bundle of hair that is at least 5 inches long and twirl the top of the hair together to form a tight bundle that is about as thick as a pencil. |

| Step 2: Hold the spiral sideways and lay the bundle of hair straight through the first two arms of the coil. The bundle of hair should be thick enough that it fills this space. Hold onto this top coil and the hair inside it with the fingers of one hand. Use your other hand to hold the rest of the twisted hair bundle. |

| Step 3: Guide the hair between the arms of the coil, following the same direction as the coil. The bundle of hair should be thick enough that it fills the coil fully and forms a snug fit. |

| Step 4: Continue to wrap the hair into each arm of the coil until you reach the bottom and you're done! |

| Give the coil a slight tug - if it is at all loose, start again using a bit more hair. If you use enough hair, it will stay in snugly until you remove it. | ![]() |
| To remove, hold the hair and coil tightly at the top, and unwind the hair from the bottom two or three coils. You can then hold the hair still at both top and bottom, and unscrew the coil from the hair, sort of like taking a corkscrew out of a cork! | |
